Letter of Introduction

from

Bishop S.E. Iglehart

The Church has always played an important role in the development of youth. Our youth receive biblical training and see examples for a successful and fruitful life. With the inception and development of the Texas Southwest Jurisdiction scholarship program, the church is continuing to play an important role in the development of youth for the benefit of the church and society. The pioneers, for which these scholarships are named, cultivated an atmosphere that encouraged academic achievement, as well as, spiritual excellence. The late Bishop T.D. Iglehart, the late Mother Emma F. Crouch, the late Mother Dessie Mae Iglehart, and the late Superintendent Thomas Johnson have left a pattern of hard work and a legacy of achievement for our youth to ignite their fires of imagination, motivation and hope. It gives me immense pleasure to continue a program that was sanctioned by my father, the late Bishop T.D. Iglehart. Congratulations to each recipient I applaud your academic success. May the Lord bless your endeavors.
